XIV International Congress on Nutrition and Metabolism in Renal Disease

Submission of abstracts

Original contributions on any aspect of nutrition and metabolism in renal disease, not necessarily related to the topics of the Conference, are welcome both by the ISRNM Conference and by the Dietitians Program.

Deadline for the submission of Abstracts:

February 11, 2008

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee; the forms of presentation for accepted works will be oral communication or poster.

Notification and acceptance

Acceptance or rejection of abstracts together with instructions for presentations (oral presentation, poster and assigned session) will be communicated by March 10, 2008 to the email address given in the Abstract Form.

All abstract presenters are kindly requested to indicate an e-mail address to facilitate further correspondence.

Oral communications

Authors will have 10 minutes for their presentation.

Recommandation for oral communication and posters preparation will be provided together with the acceptance notification.

Posters

Posters will be set up in a specially designed area.

General Rules

1. Abstract Submission

For abstracts with multiple contributors, only one person needs to register to submit the abstract.
For standardization, the acceptable format of the abstract is full text, Arial type 12 pts, not more than 28 lines.

2. Formatting Abstract Text

Authors should indicate in the Abstract Form their preference method.

* State purpose of study (preferably in one sentence).
* State methods used.
* Summarize results presented in sufficient detail to support the conclusions.
* State the conclusions reached. (It is not satisfactory to say. "The results will be discussed.")
* Do not use subheadings. e.g., methods, results, etc.
* Use numerals to indicate numbers, except to begin sentences. Non-proprietary (generic) names of drugs should be used.

3. Abstract Receipt Confirmation

* Upon submission, authors will receive a confirmation by email.
* Lack of confirmation will indicated that the abstract was not received.

4. Notification of Acceptance

* The presenting Author of each abstract accepted will be notified by email by March 10, 2008. If the Presenting Author is unable to present the abstract, a co-author can take his / her place.
* And official acceptation letter will be send by mail.

5. Withdrawal

Submitted abstracts cannot be withdrawn.

6. Publications

* All abstracts accepted for presentation (either oral or poster) will be published in the abstract book.
