Welcoming message

It is both a great honor and pleasure to organise for the second time in Marseilles the International Congress on Nutrition and Metabolism in Renal Disease. For the Local Organising Committee, the great challenge is to make such an event a scientific and friendly success.
Numerous themes included in the Nutrition and Metabolism fields of nephrology will be addressed. Among them, two now appear of preeminent interest: on the one hand, the implications of the metabolic syndrome and overload diseases in renal diseases, and on the other hand, the prognosis impact of malnutrition in end-stage renal disease.
Both these issues imply epidemiological strategies, preventive and therapeutic management which will be developed.
The organising committee is expecting attendees coming from more than 40 countries around the world. It will be a great pleasure to make them discover Marseilles and the Provence.
Looking forward to welcoming you in Marseilles.

Pr Noël CANO

    President of the Congress
